Cutting Instructions: Use a good mix of background fabrics for a pleasing look.
NOTE: Pattern refers to Blue fabrics (Light and Dark) however this could be any colour based on your choice.

Background:
(2) 3 7/8" squares - cut in half diagonally
(4) 2 3/8" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side
(1) 4 1/4" square
Light Blue
(4) 2 3/8" squares - cut in half diagonally

Medium Blue
(1) 3 1/2" square
​
Dark Blue
(1) 4 1/4" square
(4) 2" squares
(4) 2 3/8" squares - draw a diagonal line on wrong side
Sewing Instructions:
Make Flying Geese (FG) using the No Waste Method by placing (1) 2 3/8" Background square in opposite corners of (1) 4 1/4" Dark Blue square, as shown (they will slightly overlap). Sew 1/4" on each side of line. Cut apart on line and press to Background. Next, place (1) 2 3/8" Background square in remaining corner. Sew 1/4" on each side of line. Cut apart on line and press to Background. Your FG should measure 2" x 3 1/2". Make 4.
Repeat process using (1) 4 1/4" Background square and (4) 2 3/8" Dark Blue squares. Make 4.
Sew (1) of each FL together as shown on left. Make 4.

Then sew the following units together, being careful of placement. Make 4
Assemble your block as shown:​
Your block should measure 9 1/2" unfinished. Check back in August for next block.
