About Us
The Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild in Ajax, Ontario, is all about creating an open and welcoming environment in which to promote the art of quilting to those members of our community, regardless of skill level, who wish to come and share in this wonderful art. We would love for you to come and visit with us!
We love helping new quilters develop their quilting skills and we wish to further advance education in the art of quilting with our members by providing amazing guest speakers and offering workshops for learning different techniques and working on new projects.
As a Registered Canadian Charity we have committed to donating constructed quilts and other requested items to organizations that assist the disadvantaged for the benefit of the community at large. Read more about our charity work here.
The Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild meets on the second Tuesday of each month from September to June at Village Senior Citizen Centre, Ajax, ON. Join us at 6:30 pm for social time and then enjoy the meeting which starts at 7:00. Guests are welcome at all meetings (for a $10 fee) with the exception of December and June.
At Twisted Stitchers Quilt Guild meetings we enjoy guest speakers, mini workshops, challenges, a show-and-tell of members’ work, and occasional pot-luck dinners where there is always an abundance of great food. The most important aspect about the guild, other than sharing our love of quilting, is the friendships we develop and the laughs we have at meetings.
General meetings regularly include:
• social time
• guest speakers
• instructional sessions
• vendor presentations
• lending library
• charity updates & work-to-be-completed
• show and tell
